Old Testament - Judges
5 Then Samson went down with his father and mother to Timnath, and they came to the vineyards of Timnath; and, behold, a young lion roared at him. 6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion as one tears a kid, and he had nothing in his hand; but he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.
6 And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me wherein your great strength lies, and with what you might be bound, and how that you may become weak.
17 So he told her all his heart, and said to her, There has never come a razor upon my head; for I have been a Nazarite to God from my motherís womb; if I be shaven, then my strength will depart from me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man."
21 And the Philistines seized him, and put out his eyes and bound him with fetters and brought him down to Gaza, and he did grind wheat in the prison house."
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and he leaned against them, grasping one with his right hand and the other with his left.
30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. Then he pulled with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead whom Samson slew at his death were more than those whom he slew during his life.
25 In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which seemed right in his own eyes."
